Timothy grew up amidst Ohio's cornfields on the shore of Lake Erie. he studied theater and directing at case western reserve university in Cleveland, ohio and spent a semester training at the O'Neill center's national theater institute in Waterford, ct. he served as the resident director on disney's frozen, from it's developmental labs and out of town tryout through it's full broadway run.

from 2011-2020, he worked as the associate director to moisés Kaufman (THE HEIRESS, BENGAL TIGER at the Baghdad Zoo, bent, el gato con botas) and Michael Grandage (Frozen, hughie, peter and alice, red) in New York, London, and Los Angeles. He frequently collaborates with moisés kaufman's tectonic theater project, and has studied their generative theater making process, moment work.

he has a passion for musicals, opera, new writing, plays, language, bold theatricality, dynamic performances, and deeply collaborative rehearsal rooms. theater is an actor driven event, in which the audience and actors commune with through sound, movement, and light to excavate the deepest parts of our humanity.

he's directed at the abingdon theater, kraine theater, the duplex cabaret, NYU's graduate musical theater writing program, Michigan state university, and his alma mater, case western. 

he teaches masterclasses and workshops at universities, the growing studio, future of talent co., book my audition, as well as privately coaches for an array of clients.
